Surgeons Predict the Future of Nanomedicine in Practice

Nanotechnology uses very small things to do things that couldn't be accomplished with larger objects.  Nanodevices can travel throughout the body, enter cells, or mimic outside environments of cells.  These properties make them useful for things like drug delivery or tissue engineering.  Incorporating nanotechnology with other materials can make those materials stronger.  Scientists are using this phenominal technology to improve surgical implants and drug delivery.  The main goal is to combine prosthetic devices and engineered tissues at the cell level.
