Will it be a C-section? Childbirth simulator helps predict

Here is an article which relates to our recent lectures on reproduction. Scientists in France have developed Predibirth, a software that can predict the possibility of a woman having a successful birth.

Previously, physicians had used pelvimetry, in which only pelvis size is measured and used to determine how smoothly labor will go. However, this new software can take into account more than just pelvic size. Using multiple factors, this software can predict 72 possible trajectories of the baby through the birth canal and use these to predict the chances of a normal birth.
This data was found to be very accurate in the 24 women in the study. This software could potentially be used to make childbirth safer for the child and the mother. It could also reduce unnecessary C-sections and identify when C-sections are necessary.
