Adipose Tissue is Good for You

In a recent study, scientists have discovered that adipose tissue (aka fat) contributes to the elimination of plasma ammonia after exercise. As we have learned in physiology, too much of something can never be a good thing, and in this case, too much ammonia is toxic. So you may be exercising to get rid of most of your body fat, but some is necessary to counteract the plasma NH3 that builds up after high-intensity exercise.
